Nicola Andrews (ia/she/they) is a member of the Ngāti Pāoa iwi, and is of Māori and Pākehā descent. They currently work as the Open Education Librarian at the University of San Francisco, on Ramaytush Ohlone territory. Their capstone project explored the tension between open access initiatives, and Indigenous data sovereignty movements; using a combination of interviews with Indigenous practitioners, and a review of current literature. Their credentials include a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Washington, and a Master of Indigenous Studies from the University of Otago.
