Michelle Beechey is the Access Services and OER Librarian for SUNY Monroe Community College (MCC) in Rochester, NY.  In this position she guides faculty in the identification, assessment, adoption, adaption, and creation of OER and affordable course content.  In addition, as the campus OER Lead, she oversees and distributes OER funding, advocates for and promotes OER awareness across the campus by leading the OER Advocacy Committee, and is the liaison to outside OER groups.

Michelle previously served as the Achieving the Dream Grant Initiative Project Manager for the SUNY consortium, the OER Librarian for MCC, and a Campus Strategist for SUNY OER Services.  She holds a B.A. in French from the College at Brockport, State University of New York, and a M.I.L.S from the University at Buffalo. She has presented on OER at several local, regional, and international conferences and webinars.
