Christine Faraday is the Library Chairperson at SUNY Nassau Community College. As the campus Open Educational Resources (OER) coordinator, she works with faculty and librarians to support the discovery, adoption, evaluation, creation and use of OER. Christine was awarded the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Librarianship in 2017-2018. Her research interests include library leadership, management and assessment in higher education, and the role libraries play in supporting a sustainable OER culture. Christine’s capstone project focuses on identifying and establishing OER catalog designations. As part of this project, Christine created an open assessment quiz for OER that can be adapted by faculty members on any campus.
