Adam Mazel is the Digital Scholarship and Instruction Librarian at Union College, where he helps the Union community use digital media to advance their scholarship, from source finding to text mining. While his focus has been facilitating computational text analysis, his responsibilities have recently expanded to include helping to establish open access initiatives at Union, including contributing to endeavors regarding open educational resources. His M.S. in Library and Information Science is from Simmons University (2019), and his Ph.D. in English Language and Literature is from the University of Michigan (2014). As a scholar of literature, Adam’s peer-reviewed articles have appeared in Victorian Literature and Culture, Victorian Poetry, and Nineteenth-Century Literature; and he writes the annual “Guide to the Year’s Work” on the Victorian poet Algernon Charles Swinburne for Victorian Poetry.
