Adam Mazel is the Digital Scholarship and Instruction Librarian at Union College in Schenectady, NY, where he facilitates digital and open scholarship, education, and pedagogy. His M.S. in Library and Information Science is from Simmons University, and his Ph.D. in English Language and Literature is from the University of Michigan.
Adam’s capstone and community resources–an OER LibGuide, Intro to OER presentations for student government and for librarians, and a course material costs and concerns survey for students–helped establish and advance open education at Union. They therefore may be useful to those who are also starting out in OER and / or starting OER support at their institutions, especially small liberal arts colleges.
