Marisa Petrich is the Instructional Design Librarian at the University of Washington Tacoma, where she contributes to teams supporting Open Educational Resources and Open Access scholarship on campus. Her work includes information literacy instruction, reference services, instructional design consultations, and developing programming, including a recent OER workshop series for faculty. In this role, she co-created a summer program to assess local OER use, support faculty interested in adopting or adapting OER, and identify gaps and barriers to this work at her institution. Marisa has a background in journalism and worked in community college libraries before coming to UW Tacoma. She is committed to advocating for equitable and inclusive access to higher education, scholarly work, and information in general.
