Biography

Katie Harding is a Teaching & Learning Librarian and liaison to the departments of Mathematics and Computer Science at Dartmouth College. In this role, she works to integrate the Library into campus life through teaching and outreach, supports the development of faculty and librarians as teachers, and coordinates the library’s open education initiatives. She is a member of the Open Dartmouth Working Group which engages, informs, and educates faculty, students, and staff at Dartmouth in areas that include open access, open data, and open education.

Leadership Portfolio

In 2019 the Dartmouth Library and the Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning launched a grant initiative to support Dartmouth faculty in the adoption, adaption, and creation of OER. For her capstone project, Katie developed and launched this grant initiative, provided education and outreach to faculty and staff about OER, and worked with campus partners to establish support for faculty working on OER projects. Materials created for this project, including a description of the grant initiative, promotional emails shared with faculty, the grant initiative application, and presentations for faculty and staff, are shared in an OSF project.
