Emily Gore currently serves as the Deputy University Librarian at the University of Georgia. She has held similar administrative positions at the University of Tennessee and Florida State University Libraries. She was the first employee of the Digital Public Library of America and later worked for the Digital Preservation Network. Gore understands community-based membership organizations and the key role that they play in representing institutions that is not possible on an individual level. She is an expert on aggregation and repositories, has extensive copyright knowledge and a strong history of international collaboration. Gore is an advocate for open scholarship, serving as an OER champion and as Chair of the Research Data Management Advisory Council, an effort of the Provost’s office, co-sponsored by the University Librarian, Vice President for Research and Vice President for IT at UGA. Gore is a former member of the Lyrasis, Islandora, and RightsStatements.org boards.
