Senior Manager for Programs & Engagement
April Clyburne-Sherin is the Senior Manager for Programs & Engagement. In this role, she develops member resources, organizes OA Week, and furthers SPARC’s community-building efforts, including OpenCon.
April Clyburne-Sherin is an epidemiologist by training with 10+ years of experience advancing open research, rigor, and reproducibility. She has been an open research consultant since 2017 and is co-founder of Reproducibility for Everyone, a community-led education project. Her work at Center for Open Science, Sense About Science, Code Ocean, Community 4 Rigor at University of Pennsylvania, and now at SPARC, aims to meet people where they are, assess their needs, and support community-led programs.
April has an MSc in Population Medicine (Epidemiology) from the University of Guelph in Canada. She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
