Join us on September 30th at 3pm ET for an event on Faculty FAQs: Answering Common Questions from Scholars.
This session will present common recurring questions related to OA and discuss potential responses. Ahead of OA Week, this fourth OA 101 event will seek to help prepare librarians to anticipate concerns, objections, and trouble areas in order to be even better prepared with helpful answers—or at least a good invitation to ongoing conversations. The session will present a mix of questions from the speakers' own practice and questions submitted by the community, and participants will be encouraged to share their own perspectives in responding to frequently asked faculty questions.
These sessions are open to anyone working in libraries, and participants can register for just those sessions that are of interest. SPARC membership is NOT required, and our goal in this series is to support the wider community, particularly those at institutions with fewer resources to support OA-related work.
Recordings of each session will be made available afterward. This series is a pilot, and based on feedback from the community, SPARC may explore further work in this area.
