Lisa Anderson is a reference librarian at Muskegon Community College. She is the OER coordinator, assisting faculty with any open education questions and projects and serving as lead on the OER cohort and task force. Additionally, she is the College archivist; liaison to social sciences, foreign languages, education, English/communications, and College Success; and co-advisor to the College’s Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Lisa’s capstone focused on including community college students in open education through awareness and action. She presented to student leaders on her campus and created a virtual presentation for the full Phi Theta membership, posting it to the members’ social media group around the time of the annual convention when they were most active in the group. Additionally, she created a student-focused OER toolkit with sections dedicated to raising awareness, advocating for open, and creating and using OER.
