Christie Hurrell

Associate University Librarian, University of Calgary

Christie Hurrell is the Associate University Librarian for Collections, Content Services, and Research Support at the University of Calgary. She leads strategic collection development and research support programs, including repository services, digitization, research data management, digital preservation, and spatial/numeric data services. Christie has championed open initiatives such as journal hosting, OA publishing support, and the launch of a provincial OER repository. She has served on editorial teams for two scholarly journals and has presented and published funded research based on her practice.

Christie holds an MA in Communications and Culture from Toronto Metropolitan and York Universities, and an MLIS from the University of British Columbia.
