The 2023 application period for the U.S. Open Textbook Pilot grant program is now open. The grant competition will award approximately $10.6 million in federal funds to higher education institutions to create or expand the use of open textbooks. Applications can be submitted for up to $2.125 million, and the deadline is May 16, 2023.
SPARC members are invited to attend a "rapid reaction" webcast where SPARC’s policy team will offer an overview of the 2023 notice inviting applications and successful grantees from previous rounds will offer insights. Note that the grant program is U.S.-focused.
