Rebecca Graham began her tenure as Chief Information Officer/Chief Librarian at the University of Guelph in May 2012. She currently serves as Past Chair for the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) and is a recent member of the Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL)) Policy Committee. She served as an ARL representative to CNI through June 2016 and prior to the organization’s Strategic Design process, was a member of the Scholarly Communication Steering Committee. Rebecca also currently serves as Chair, Board of Trustees, for the Art Gallery Guelph.
Prior to Guelph she spent several years working in the libraries of Harvard University. Her Harvard tenure began in 2003 as Associate Director for Library Operations at the Countway Library of Medicine. She moved to the Harvard College Library (HCL) in 2006 where Rebecca served as the Associate Librarian for Preservation, Digitization and Administrative Services.
Before Harvard, Rebecca’s academic library experience included responsibilities for library IT and the digital library program at Johns Hopkins University. She served as the Director and Program Associate for the Digital Library Federation (DLF) in Washington DC. She served as Manager, Integrated Library Systems at the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign (UIUC).
She holds a B.Sc. from Wilberforce University and an MLS from UIUC.
